The singing trio of Susanne, Dieter and Juergen work at à unsuccessful étudiant cabaret. Mr Brenders, a rich entrepreneur offers to fund them if they change the name of the cabaret to the Lu-Violet bar with a roaring twenties motifs. Disguised dans black tenues and wigs, the trio soon find out Brenders has them, en recréant à protestent murder case from 26 Février 1927 in which he himself may or may not have been involved.
