A gloomy small town at peace with itself on the edge of a bizarre industrial landscape. The former night watchman of the industrial complex is discovered murdered. The police, l'inspecteur en charge of the case soon lac a link between the murder and an ominous poison gaz depot established at the end of World war II, by a Nazi partisan group called The Werewolfs. The current owner of the industry was a member of this organization. Ainsi, the inspector suspects him to hide the poison dans old storehouse and make illégalement business of it. And he is convinced that the old watchman had discovered this secret and had to die for it. Parallel to the inspectors inquiries, the new watchman himself attempts to solve the mystery of his predecessor s death. He penetrates deeper and deeper into the history and mythology of the area and reconstructs a chain of mysterious décès spanning centuries, which have always happened at the same spot.
