Anthony Mann (le 30 Juin 1906 – Avril 29, 1967) que l'American actor and film director. Born Emil Anton Bundsmann the Point Loma area of San Diego, l'Homme was the son of Jewish-Austrian immigrants Emile Théodore Bundsmann, and his wife Bertha Waxelbaum (d'origine Juive surname: Weichselbaum) of Macon, en Géorgie. Homme started out as an actor, apparaissant dans les plays off-Broadway à New York City. En 1938, he moved to Hollywood, where he joined the Selznick International Pictures. L'homme est devenu de directeur adjoint en 1942, directing low-budget assignments for SHADOWS and Republic Pictures. Homme qu'est-ce respected for his acute visual sensitivity toward the American Western landscape, effortlessly mélange natural vistas with human drame. Homme's drame verged on classical tragedy, often showing anguished heroes attempting to resolve personnel pain and confusion. En 1964, he was head of the jury at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival. En 1967, l'Homme died from a heart attack in Berlin, Germany while filming the spy thriller A Dandy in Aspic. The film was completed by the film's star, Laurence Harvey. For his contribution to the motion picture industry, d'Anthony Mann has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6229 Hollywood Blvd.
