Al Bridge
Al Pont était un Américain acteur, un luminaire à la fois dans les Westerns et dans la comédie de Preston Sturges. Bien que souvent facturés comme Alan Pont, il est né Alfred Morton Pont à Philadelphie, en Pennsylvanie, en 1891 (pas comme Alford Pont en 1890, que sa pierre tombale indique par erreur). Service suivantes comme caporal dans l'infanterie AMÉRICAINE dans la première Guerre Mondiale, le Pont rejoint une troupe théâtrale. Il s'adonne à l'écriture et en 1930, a vendu un script pour un court-métrage, Elle a Loué Mari (1930). Il a suivi avec un B-script Occidental, le Pays de Dieu et de l'Homme (1931), dans lequel il a fait ses débuts au cinéma en tant qu'acteur. Pour le prochain quart de siècle, il a réussi atypique, la réalisation de maintenir une carrière à la fois dans B-les Westerns et dans les plus dramatiques et comiques fonctionnalités. Dix films pour le directeur de Preston Sturges représentent probablement le plus familier contribution à l'histoire de Hollywood. Le pont est également apparu fréquemment à la télévision jusqu'à sa mort en 1957 à 66.
