Follows the life of several different people en 1960s en Alemania for a few days. The story begins, when a juvenil criminal robos en old woman's handbag in a post office and throws it into a car parking, when he feels observado. But there was a lot of money in that bolsa, and thereby a dozen fortunes become entwined.
