Equal parts documentary, road film, and ethnographic recording, Collasuyo makes most sense as a symphony of Bolivia. From the vast salt flats of Uyuni to the beginnings of the Amazon in the Chapare, the film draws on the diversity of Bolivian culture to present a narrative rooted in first-person testimonial, indigenous philosophy, and a diverse array of landscapes, presenting the country not as a headline or diplomatic tool, but as a vibrant spirit, tirelessly searching for its place in the world.
