A couple of Englishmen reach the middle of the earth accompanied by their guides. Here they find huge caverns covered with stalaktiten with gigantic mushrooms springing up spontaneously. Elephants innumerable, riesige frösche, krokodile and other monsters appear werke, and the travelers flee in tenor. After passing through streams of molten lava-and-fire they manage to return as if by miracle to the face of the earth.
