The Mills of Fate (1997)
Melodramatischer Film mit farbenfrohen Elementen von comedy und songs, die tief verwurzelt in der lettischen folklore. Love triangle - unheilbar krank, Dozent, blinde Mädchen und Jungen Barden. Im hintergrund - wild der Ankunft des Kapitalismus, politische Konflikte das Leben der Stadt und die schöne Natur von Lettland. Am Ende die Liebe erobert alles, aber nicht jeder lebt, das zu sehen.
