The Bathhouse of Malatily (1973)
Der film ist eine Adaption des Romans Samar Habib von Ismåeel Walieddin. Autor der Weiblichen Homosexualität im Nahen Osten: Geschichten und Darstellungen. Die Hauptfigur Ahmad, Blätter ländlichen östlichen ägypten für die Stadt, hoffend auf wirtschaftlich autark, bekommt eine Wohnung für seine Eltern, und erhält einen Abschluss in Rechtswissenschaften. Er und seine Familie sind Flüchtlinge aus einer Stadt, besetzt von der israelischen Armee, Ismaåilia. Ali, der Besitzer des Malatily Badehaus, bietet an, ließ ihn dort frei. Ahmad trifft auf verschiedene Charaktere, einschließlich Naåeema, eine Prostituierte, die er besessen, und Raouf, einem homosexuellen Mann.
