Dieser Film dreht sich um die neuen pokémon Celebi, ein one-of-a-Kind-veggie-wie bug, deren einzige Sippe sind celebi von anderen Punkten in der Zeit. Der Film beginnt in der Vergangenheit, wo ein junge namens Sam zu sichern versucht Celebi von einem Jäger. Ein gegenseitiges bemühen, Celebi nutzt seine macht und die Transporte selbst und Sam bis in die Gegenwart, Ash Ketchum Zeit.
