Pino is a young atheist ceramist who lives in Assisi, together with his father Damian communist revolutionary, and his partner Nadine, much younger. One day, while on the terrace, he sees Maria Teresa studying for the Latin exam and starts giving her some lessons. Soon they fall in love, until Jakobus, her uncle, notices and drives them away. He remains very sad, but then realizes that her warnungen were really just a trick to convince him to convert to Katholizismus. Embittered, he plans to take revenge on her uncle by throwing paper bomb at his house. Kiefer scolds him but destroys all his room and runs away. His father and Nadine start looking for him and find him eating sandwich-quietly.
