The very same day she moves to Marseille to join her husband, Carole Picard learns that he has been unfaithful to her. Shocked, she binsen out-of-the house into the path of an oncoming car - Carole wakes up in the hospital where everyone calls her - Eva Sorrent. Even the papers found on her at the scene of the accident bear this unfamiliar name. Confused and terrified, Carole can find no one to help her-her husband and children have disappeared. When she barely escapes a murder attempt and is suspected of killing a night nurse, Carole realizes her only chance is to run. But how is she to recover her identity and find those who have turned her bestehen into an unending nightmare?
