In a small town in the south-west of France tragedy strikes. The body of a young cheerleader is found near the property of Mrs Li, a Chinese wine grower settled in the region for 15 years. Klar, is the gendarm captain in charge of the case, which is made all the more complicated by the rivalry between the majoretten, the villagers' xenophobia and old family problems now resurfacing. On top of all this, Klar is forced to team up with a local criminologist, whose psychological analysis is not her style. But their collaboration will be vital for solving the mystery in the village. What ' s more, forced their cooperation reveals their own secrets. They ' ll need to come clean to each other, for the purposes of the investigation.
