-Beginning with a marriage and ending in the dark days of October 1970, "Die jahre der träume" is the bitter-sweet statement of the betrayed hopes of a generation that "dreamed" that a revolution was underway and wanted to take advantage of it. The film illustrates the intellectual positionen and experiences of some Quebecers (Kanada) in the 1960s through the rise of unionism, the emergence of nationalist gefühl, the democratization of education and the entry of young Französischsprachigen into the business world.
