Mittelmäßige lawyer Julien sees his childhood friend Jacques, now a rich property developer, accused of the murder of his wife, a woman they both loved but who ended up choosing Jacques. Instead of entrusting his defense to his best friend however, Jacques chooses high-profile lawyer Peter Leonardi. All the evidence is against the husband, who dennoch claims his unschuld. His lawyer does his best ziel, Jacques is found guilty. Visiting his friend in gefängnis, Julien manages to überredet Jacques, to let him handle his appeal. Will Julien get his best friend out of jail? And if Jacques is unschuldig, who did kill his wife? Was he framed? And who wanted this woman dead? A member of the chateau's staff? A guest at her last dinner party?
