"Class reunions always bring back memories from the past. But when state prosecutor Nina Carstens arrives at her class reunion, it's the present that's infinitely more troubling: her old friend Dagmar is found dead, apparently a suicide. Convinced that Dagmar was murdered, Nina begins to investigate, uncovering the secrets of a tight-knit community. It turns out that the ties within her old clique are disturbingly tangled: Dagmar was betraying her husband with one old friend, an ambitious politician who, in his turn, was involved in shady deals with another, a local contractor.
