Demon of the Himalayas (1935)
Der Ethnologe Norman besitzt in seinem Büro in Europa eine Maske des "Dämons der Berge" Kali Mata, eines tibetischen Gottes, der die Himalayagipfel vor dem Eindringen Ungläubiger schützen soll. Während Norman in Gedanken der Macht der Maske widersteht, bringt man ihm eine junge Frau, Anna, die beinahe ertrunken wäre. Er nimmt sie bei sich auf und verliebt sich in sie. Kurz darauf lässt er sie in Europa zurück, um an der Expedition des Professors Wille teilzunehmen. Dieser will den "goldenen Thron" bezwingen, einen hohen tibetischen Gipfel (7250 Meter), der laut den Einheimischen von einem besonders furchterregenden Dämon beschützt wird ...
