Salamanca to nowhere is the story of a generation of filmmakers,the so-called New German Cinema,born as a result of the Conversations of Salamanca (1955). Although nowadays no one dares to discuss the thrust of the filmmakers who gave him life, this is a generation that has not been sufficiently appreciated. The admiration grows to discover the countless difficulties they had to carry out his first projects in those grey years of the sixties, taking advantage of the narrow trails of a timid opening as soon as it is arrived was. But beyond the review a few times or a description of the facts, the movie is approaching to the looks, the memories, the silences the desires and the struggle of its protagonists. Because in those years Patino, Borau, Camus, Picazo, Summers, and Saura set out to do something that no one had asked them: a cinema of different, critical, innovative and personal values that today we miss.
