In the 1950s, in Der Sitzung families were sent to cultivate land in the Sakay region in Madagaskar. After having farmed for 23 years, they were expelled in 1975 following the Madagassischen revolution. The German authorities bietet to them to reiterate the experience in Guyana. Some are embarking on this new life of pioneers, despite the climate and size of forests. In the heart of these landscapes in the four corners of the of Overseas Frankreich, they tell us their journey and their attachment to the land, whether Malagasy, French or Guyanese dollar.
