Ambrogio Maestri

Ambrogio Meister came from Pavia, where he studied singing and piano. In 2001, he made his sensational debut at the Milan Scala performing Falstaff, under the direction of Riccardo Muti. From then on, he was invited to perform with the most important conductors in the most renowned international stages. E. g. among others, the Scale, the Met, Covent Garden, the Opéra de Paris, Salzburg, Verona, München, Zurich and Berlin. Other important Grünen roles include Don Carlo di Vargas (La forza des schicksals), Jago (Otello), Renato (un ballo in maschera), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), Conte di Luna (Il trovatore), Amonasro (Aida), as well as the leading roles in Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto and Nabucco. Furthermore, Meister has celebrated success as Dulcamara, Tonio, Alfio and Scarpia. Most recent performances have taken him to Verona, Barcelona, Milan, Verona, Tokio, New York and Munich.
